Enrollment and Tuition

Enrollment at TEDS is for the full season, September through May/June. Tuition reflects the full season, payable in two installments due September 1 and February 1.

Tuition includes classes your dancer is scheduled to attend but is absent from, classes that are canceled due to inclement weather or any unforeseen circumstances such as a public emergency, and any class(es) that your dancer does not participate in for personal reasons, due to injury, illness, or any other condition. Tuition does not include registration fees, dancewear, costumes, recital fees, recital tickets, private lessons, or special events.

Tuition is due by your dancer's first class, payable by cash, mailed check, or credit card through the Parent Portal (3.75% Transaction Fee applies). You may save your credit card info in your Parent Portal for convenient use with your permission. You may also enable your credit card for “Auto-Pay” so that payments will be made automatically on the appropriate due dates. Note that these are separate actions: Saved CC info & Saved CC info enabled for auto-pay.

Missed classes are the student’s responsibility. If students miss classes for personal reasons, they may make up a maximum of three (3) missed classes within the current season, through January 31. The choice of makeup class must be approved by Alicia or Gemma and may be limited by availability. Makeups may not be used for summer classes, special events, or transferred to siblings. Holidays and weather cancellations are not subject to the makeup policy. When a particular day of the week incurs more than one or two cancelations due to weather, TEDS will create special makeup opportunities to address that circumstance.

Withdrawal Policy
Tuition is not refundable. After October 14, a credit may be issued and can be used for regular classes within the current or upcoming dance studio season: 75% credit for the current season; 50% credit for the subsequent season. All credits expire after the subsequent season. Tuition credits may not be transferred to siblings or other family members. Tuition credits may not be applied to summer classes, fees, costumes/merchandise, performance tickets, or birthday parties. No credit will be issued for withdrawals after March 1.

General Rules

  • Caregivers and students should not interrupt a class in session.

  • Only water is allowed in the studios. No food, drinks, or gum are permitted.

  • We appreciate the chance to meet our students' siblings, but the safety of every child on the school premises is our priority. Children must be always supervised and should not run around the lobby or classroom areas.

  • Students are not permitted to use their cellphones, Apple watches, or other devices during class time.

  • Students and caregivers may not contact our instructors directly (via phone, email, text messages, etc.). All communication with teachers must go through the Total Eclipse Dance Studio office.

Arrival and Departure
We kindly request that students arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled class time.
For the safety of children under the age of 10, we require that they be picked up immediately after their class. Students ages 10 and older should be picked up no later than 15 minutes after the completion of their class.

Attendance
Regular attendance is essential for students to progress in their dance education. Each class builds upon previous lessons, and missing a class may leave a student lagging behind their peers. From February to May, choreography for the recital will be taught and rehearsed. It is necessary for students to feel confident with the choreography and the year-end performance. Absences during this period can lead to frustration for both students and their teachers and classmates.

Tardiness
Dance is a physically demanding activity that requires a proper warm-up to ensure safe execution of movements. Students who arrive more than 10 minutes late may be asked to observe class for their personal safety, as they would have missed the warm-up and/or barre exercises.
